Half Round Cast Iron

The Half Round cast iron gettering system gets its name from its semi-circle shape: half that of a circle. Manufactured from smelting iron-carbon alloys, cast iron gutter ends up holding great strength, rust resistance and heavy-duty characteristics. With proper maintenance, heritage cast iron pipe is reported to last for a hundred years. This includes things like repainting the gutters (around every 10 years), regularly decluttering the buildup of leaves or debris and inspecting the metal for corrosion, which can be easily sanded away with a wire brush before repainting.
